Join us for the 2026 Autumn Chess Revival, a one-day scholastic chess event for students in grades K–12. The tournament features: K-12 Open, K-6 Open, and Introductory Quads. The open sections is a four-round Swiss tournaments, and all rated sections will be submitted to US Chess.

Choose the section that best fits the student:

K-12 Open — for experienced over-the-board tournament players; open to all students in grades K–12.

K-6 Open — for developing tournament players ready for a Swiss-style over-the-board event; open to grades K–6.

Introductory Quads — for students new to tournament or over-the-board chess, grouped with players of similar ability; open to grades K–12.

CHECK-IN	9:00–9:45 AM Late arrivals will not be paired for round 1.
ROUND TIMES	K-12 Open and K-6 Open: 10:00 AM \| 11:15 AM \| 1:15 PM \| 2:30 PM Introductory Quads: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
LOCATION	Offsite venue to be confirmed
ENTRY FEE	$10 online Online registration will close the Thursday before the event. No at the door registration allowed.
TIME CONTROL	K-12 Open and K-6 Open: G/25 + 5-second increment Introductory Quads: G/10 + 10-second increment
PRIZES	Individual and team trophies K-12 Open and K-6 Open: 1st–5th individual, Top Female, and 1st–3rd team. Introductory Quads: 1st place in each quad.
RATING & MEMBERSHIP	US Chess rated; US Chess membership required.
BYES	One half-point bye may be requested for one round before round 1.

The Saint Louis Chess Club has a long-standing commitment to conduct research projects that advance its mission to expand access to and growth through chess. The Saint Louis Chess Club Research Team is using scoresheets from this tournament as part of a research project investigating within-game patterns (e.g., aggressiveness, opening strategies, etc.). USCF rules already stipulate that the tournament organizer owns the tournament scoresheets.
