Yes! The Sinquefield Cup and Cairns Cup run side by side at the Saint Louis Chess Club, and each daily ticket includes playing hall access to both fields.
Daily tickets are just $25 ($20 for STLCC annual members) including playing hall access.
A ticket guarantees entry during the tournament rounds, but seating is not provided — it will be standing room only.
We are limiting the number of spectators in the tournament hall. A select number of tickets will be made available for each day of the Sinquefield Cup & Cairns Cup.
Access to the tournament hall during major events is only open to ticketed guests and is not included with any Saint Louis Chess Club membership. However, all members and guests are welcome to tour the tournament hall when events are not in session. Annual members receive a discounted price on tickets.
Yes! Annual STLCC members receive discounted ticket pricing ($20/day vs. $25/day) as well as discounts on event merchandise.
Yes! STLCC members can still come to the club, play chess, join a tournament, take a class, book a private lesson, and possibly even see a famous Grandmaster!
All Sinquefield Cup and Cairns Cup rounds begin at 12:00 PM daily.
Yes, the tournament schedule is finalized. The 2026 Sinquefield Cup and 2026 Cairns Cup run August 10–20, 2026.
There are no official meet and greet sessions, but you are welcome to wait at the Club entrance before and after rounds to try and meet the players and get autographs.
Yes! Both the Sinquefield Cup and Cairns Cup will be available to watch on the STLChessClub YouTube and Twitch channels. Just search STLChessClub on YouTube or Twitch to find us.
No food or drink is allowed in the tournament hall. Light refreshments will be available for ticket holders in a specially marked area within the Chess Club.
Cellphones, personal cameras, and smart watches are not allowed in the tournament halls during the tournaments. Members of the media should email [email protected] regarding media access.
