Description:

- Increase your chess knowledge while working at a pace that fits your learning needs. 

- Connect with other scouts in the Saint Louis region. - Engage with certified chess merit badge instructors from our internationally recognized chess facility from the comfort of your home. 

- Learn about the scope of chess in the world today, find resources to improve your game, and find out about how you can participate in chess competitions, classes, and activities. 

- Each instructor will provide a weekly schedule that offers flexibility and details specific learning goals between lessons. 

- Earn your chess merit badge online! 

Requirements: The workshop is free of cost to any scouts looking to fulfill the merit badge requirements. Basic knowledge of chess rules is strongly recommended.

- Visit Lichess.org to create your FREE online profile - work through lichess.org/learn to demonstrate your knowledge of the rules of chess and your increasing skills. 

- Print the Chess Merit Badge Workbook to keep brush up on the requirements before the workshop.
